All personal information collected by this website, through booking or attending an event, or otherwise collected from you from in the course of our business will be treated in accordance with the terms of this Privacy Policy.

Our social network and business directory each also have separate Privacy Statements displayed on that network and directory which will specifically apply to use of that network and directory.

We will not be responsible to you or any third party for any business loss (including loss of revenue, profits, contracts, anticipated savings, wasted expenditure, data or goodwill) or any other loss or damage which does not result directly from our actions.

Property Nexus is committed to protecting the privacy of your personal information. We abide by local data protection laws in the UK, including the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018 (we refer to these laws together as the ‘DP Laws’). Property Nexus is a data controller for the purposes of the DP Laws. 
 
Your rights

You have the right to access personal data that we hold on you in accordance with the DP Laws. If you have any requests concerning your personal information or any queries concerning our processing, please contact us at enquiries@propertynexus.co.uk and we will respond to your enquiry within 30 days unless the query is complex. You will not have to pay a fee to access your personal information. However, we may charge a reasonable fee, if your request is clearly unfounded or excessive.

• people who work for our sponsors

organisation you work for

• identification information collected as part of our events booking process or sign up process for the social network

• financial information such as payment related information for booking or sponsoring our events
• information to help us help you when you attend events
• any other information relating to you from public sources and/or provided to us by you

From time to time this information may include special category data which the law requires us to treat with extra care

What we do with your information

We process personal information for the purpose of providing networking events, operating our social network and business directory and also for our own business purposes including:

• to provide you with marketing information related to our events, social network and business directory
• disclosures to our regulators, auditors, our legal or professional advisors, our insurers and insurance brokers
• fraud prevention (including money laundering and bribery) and for the prevention or detection of crime

What is the basis for processing your data?

We will only process your personal data where we have a lawful basis for doing so. This is set out in the DP Laws. The lawful basis will be one or more of the following, that the process is necessary:

• for compliance with our legal and regulatory obligations
• to pursue our legitimate interests
• for establishing, exercising or defending legal claims or
• for the purpose of performing a contract of services in the form of providing networking events, operating our social network and business directory

We do not routinely transfer personal data outside the UK but may do so in the future. We will take all reasonable steps to ensure that any personal data that is transferred is treated securely and in accordance with this policy.

We use trusted IT suppliers to protect and preserve the data we process and control. They employ up-to-date data storage and security techniques to protect your personal information from unauthorised access, improper use or disclosure, unauthorised modification or unlawful destruction or accidental loss. All our employees and any third parties we engage to process your personal information are obliged to respect the confidentiality of your personal information.

Storage and disposal of personal data

We hold personal data and other information for different periods to comply with our regulatory, statutory and contractual requirements. However, any personal data we hold which is not necessary to comply with these requirements is not guaranteed to be stored for any particular period and may be disposed of by us at any time.
